Now that’s more like it. That was the game everyone was hoping to have during last years lack luster Superbowl.

Peyton Manning had a very, well,  Peyton Manning like drive to send the game into overtime. However, Russell Wilson in many ways, out did Manning in his overtime drive. Russell rushed for 21 yards and gained 35 through the air as he led the Seahawks on a game winning 80 yard drive. All caped off by Marshawn Lynch’s 6 yard touchdown dive. This was Russell’s 11th game winning drive in his short three year career.

Lynch ran for 88 yards, including this game winning touchdown in Sundays 26-20 OT win

“I don’t want to say this in the wrong way, but I was almost hoping it would happen, ” Wilson said on Manning’s tying touchdown drive. ” I was hoping our defense would make the stop. But if they didn’t, I was ready to get back on the field. I live for those moments”

Wilson completed 24 of 34 passes for 258 yards a touchdown and one interception.

“He’s just an amazing football player,” Seattle coach Pete Carroll said of Russell. “He really is. He just keeps a drive alive. It’s really hard to stop us in that situation, because he’s so good at it. He makes something happen.”

Denver’s defense was much improved from last years 43-8 drumming. Russell was under a lot of pressure all game getting sacked three times. The interception, which led to Denver’s first touchdown in the game, was Russell’s first in 6 games. A healthy Von Miller along with key off season accusation Demarcus Ware kept the pressure on.

Coming off a horrible week 2 performance in San Diego, the Seattle defense looked to be back to their old dominant self for three quarters only allowing 3 points. It all went down hill in the 4th though, the Hawks gave up 17 points including a late Peyton Manning touchdown drive that tied the game at 20. In fact, if it wasn’t for a late game interception by Kam Chancellor, the Broncos just might have come out with the win.

The Seahawks have a bye next week before their Monday night match up in DC. The Broncos will also have a bye the coming week with a match up with the 3-0 Cardinals waiting for them.
